Independent Creative Producer
Arts University Bournemouth
Project Manager (Oct 2012 - July 2013)
From Oct 2012 – July 2013 I held the post of ‘Web Content Project Facilitator’ within the Marketing department at Arts University Bournemouth. My role focused on developing digital content for the university’s digital platforms (website, Intranet, social media streams) including working across all recruitment events hosted by the university (open days, UCAS fairs, school visits). Within this period I was Project Manager on several live projects, namely:
MyPlastic – a project developed to promote the only plastic specialist museum in the UK - Museum of Design in Plastic / MoDiP - which is located on the University campus. We interviewed industry experts about their memories connected to a plastic based item and developed a website to host the videos and plastic archives. myplastic.modip.ac.uk
LAVISH – an interactive arts commission for Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival, based on the humble port-a-loo, LAVISH was created to provide a platform for recent AUB graduates to develop a piece of public art built into a recycled port-a-loo housing. This was a project I conceived and managed, supporting by the Marketing department, working with the artists to complete.
AUB24 – a 24-hour live project for students across all courses to take on an industry set live brief. We built a microsite to capture # feeds and YouTube videos during the 24 hour event for the first industry client ‘Jimmy’s Iced Coffee’. This was the pilot project which has continued to be successfully hosted by AUB since. 24.aub.ac.uk
